Match-Tetra Team

Match-Tetra's team of intellectual property managers and information technology specialists has experience in intellectual property offices around the world, in the activities of the World Intellectual Property Organization, and in patent and trade mark law offices.

The Canadian Intellectual Property Office has given us access to their technology and staff, permitting us to draw on CIPO's expertise in managing an intellectual property office as a business-like operation. CIPO staff has participated in our projects to transfer Canadian patent and trade mark technology to other countries.

Our trade mark search software, is used by the Canadian Intellectual Property Office, by most major trade mark agents and search houses in Canada, and by many search houses in the USA.

Feb 1996 - CIPO and Match-Tetra sign agreement giving Match-Tetra permission to adapt INTREPID for other countries.

Canada Releases INTREPID II

November 1996 -Canada implements new trade mark system after 10 000 person-days development

.Match-Tetra and CD NameSearch Alliance

December 1996 - Match-Tetra offers CD NameSearch trade mark search technology to other countries, complementing the INTREPID II Trade Mark Administration technology.

Australia Evaluates INTREPID and CD NameSearch

April 1997 - Four Match-Tetra staff support AIPO's 3 month evaluation of INTREPID and CD NameSearch in Australia.

Mexico Adopts Intrepid

December 1996, IMPI decides to adopt and adapt INTREPID for Mexican trade mark administration.

TechSource Patent Admin System in Production

June 1997 - CIPO releases the new TechSource computer system for administering patents.  Match-Tetra's technology, implemented in 1992, remains in use for bibliographic patent search.

Since 1988, our staff have played key roles in designing and developing the INTREPID II Trade Mark Administration System, the CD NameSearch Trade Mark Search System, and the C22 patent administration and search systems.  We can provide other countries with the same computer technology used by CIPO.

Instituto Mexicano de la Propiedad Industrial

Since 1995 we have been working with IMPI to build a new trade mark system based on Canada's "INTREPID II".

During 1996 and 1997 we supported AIPO in their evaluation of Canada's trade mark technology: "INTREPID II" and "CDNameSearch".

In 1996 we participated in a business process re-engineering study of the trade mark processing for the Intellectual Property Office of New Zealand.
