The Canadian Intellectual Property Office has given us access to their technology and staff, permitting us to draw on CIPO's expertise in managing an intellectual property office as a business-like operation. December 1996 - Match-Tetra offers CD NameSearch trade mark search technology to other countries, complementing the INTREPID II Trade Mark Administration technology. |
April 1997 - Four Match-Tetra staff support AIPO's 3 month evaluation of INTREPID and CD NameSearch in Australia. |
December 1996, IMPI decides to adopt and adapt INTREPID for Mexican trade mark administration. |
TechSource Patent Admin System in Production June 1997 - CIPO releases the new TechSource computer system for administering patents. Match-Tetra's technology, implemented in 1992, remains in use for bibliographic patent search.

| On the invitation of the Japan International
Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Department of Intellectual Property of Thailand, and the
Canadian Intellectual Property Office, Match-Tetra gave a course on "Automating
the Trade Mark Office". We presented the course during the "Management of Industrial Property Rights" seminar in Bangkok and Pattaya, Thailand, from November 5 to December 4, 1997.
